Fame (I'm gonna live forever)

We have got our first honourable mention in a blogroll from Daithi over at Lex Ferenda. I found this out very recently because no one reads anyones blogroll after the first time and I've just figured out Technorati. Now I'm under no illusions as to the amount of publicity this little warble is going to bring, but I do know for certain that at least three people read this (not counting the ladies). This is because they're my friends and they care for me and they're contractually bound to listen to me in whatever media I choose to express myself. But punters are punters. So go on, who wouldn't want their copyright law fix of a Tuesday morning?

You'd be surprised. A lot of people have a selective approach to blogrolling - i.e. only listing the blogs that they read on a regular basis. (I read your posts through the miracle of Google Reader, where they automagically arrive as soon as you press publish). Therefore if you want to try and play amateur psychologist, you can look through someone's blogroll and try to find out what makes them tick (or thick).

Anyway, now that you have discovered Technorati, the next step is stats watching. Then you can hit refresh..refresh..refresh and watch your reader count go up. Or you could just go outside and see the sunshine. Depends, really.

OK I'll stop now.

Now normally I would plump for the sunshine but there are two other factors at work here. a) you really do kinda get sucked in b) it's the summer I work in an academic library and the postgrads really aren't pulling their weight. Although I think that actually sitting watching the stat counter, moves one into realms best normally left alone.

Must update my own blogroll actually, haven't done it for ages. And I promised Hannah I'ld get one started for her, so she can receive duly earned brownie points for reading people's stuff :)

Daithi, I'm stealing 'automagically' but I'll credit you... and send on royalities, obviously ;)
